It's meme time: Students react to Shafqat Mahmood telling schools to open 5 days a week

Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood has "broken" the hearts of millions of Pakistani students after announcing that schools have been allowed to resume five-day classes from March 1.
The minister, perhaps the most followed individual on Pakistani Twitter in the era of coronavirus-imposed school closures, signaled on Thursday a return to normal after nearly a year of incomplete closures or operations.
Following the announcement, Shafqat Mahmood's fan club on Twitter responded with what they do best: funny memes.
Here's what students are saying about the latest ad:
In a statement issued on Twitter, the federal education minister said that all schools will return to regular 5-day classes starting Monday, March 1.
"The restrictions imposed in some major cities on schools to teach staggered classes was only until February 28," he added.
The minister said that the announcement will be applicable to all educational institutes.
Students keeping an eye on Mahmood's Twitter account have frequently followed his announcements with funny and often exaggerated reaction memes.
They made him his hero when he announced school closings, and now they're calling him out for his 'betrayal' after he made it clear that it's time for students to go back to their studies.
