Pakistan and Turkey have identical views on Kashmir issue, says AJK president

MUZAFFARABAD: While calling Turkey a symbol of dignity and justice in the contemporary world, Azad Jammu and President of Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan have said that not only Pakistan and Turkey are Muslim brother countries but hearts of the people of the two countries that throb together and have an identical position and focus on important global issues, including Kashmir.

He commented on Sunday in a video message on the occasion of the launch of the website of the International Civil Society and the Strategic Defense Organization, Kashmir Civitas, in the Turkish language.

Describing the fraternal and proven relationship between Turkey and Jammu and Kashmir, President Masood said that AJK will never forget that Turkey was the first international response to the devastating 2005 earthquake and that "it helped us rebuild three cities in the areas affected by the earthquake and left a mark and signature of friendship throughout Azad Kashmir. "

Recently, he claimed that he himself had made many visits to Turkey and personally witnessed the warmth of the Turkish people by the people of Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir.

Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of the Turkish people and government to the Kashmir problem, he said: "We hope that Turkey will play an active role in solving the problem."

In particular, he thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, saying that by taking a principled stance on the Kashmir issue, he had strongly represented the feelings of the Kashmiri people at the UN General Assembly, and while in his speech before Pakistan's parliament, he reiterated his position.

Praising the concept of Turkey's humanitarian diplomacy, President Masood hoped that the Kashmir Civitas forum would play an important role in informing the people of Turkey about the agonies of the IOJ & K people and exposing the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiris to hands from the Indian forces, and will also project the cause of Kashmir effectively.

Meanwhile, in another video message, the AJK president once again called on the people of the liberated territory, especially businessmen, merchants, and religious academics, to take preventive measures to save their own lives and the lives of others. people from the new coronavirus, and cooperate with the state machinery to enforce government measures, including the blockade.

He urged people, especially the business community and clergy, along with ordinary people to demonstrate a sense of responsibility during the relaxation of the confinement.
