Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s modern love story began with a quirky emoji

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hailed as the best modern couple who defied the ancient traditions of the royal family during their time in various ways.

And while some might have thought that the Duke of Sussex's movement had somehow aligned with modern ways of provoking a new love story, his texting methods to woo his beloved had been more contemporary than no one would have imagined.

As new details emerged about the couple's first reunion at London's SoHo House at Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand's upcoming book, Finding Freedom, it was also revealed how the prince did not shy away from expressing interest in the former actor.

Soon after their first date, Harry didn't waste a second sending a text message to his future girlfriend.

The authors write: "Their messages were often short and full of emojis, in particular the ghost emoji, which they used to use in place of a smiling face."

"For what reason? No one knows. But Meghan found her texting tag fun and adorable, just like the prince," they added.

A friend of Meghan's was quoted in the book saying, "He definitely did not hide the fact that he was interested. He wanted her to know that he was very interested."
