Int'l Day in Support of Victims of Torture: PM Imran slams atrocities in IoK

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan criticized India's atrocities and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir on Friday when the world celebrated International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.

On Twitter, the Prime Minister called on the global community to take note of the torture and inhumane treatment faced by people in occupied Kashmir at the hands of the Indian armed forces.

He said that the people of occupied Kashmir faced pellet guns, sexual assault, electrocution, and physical and mental torture.
"Today, on the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, I call on the international community to hold India accountable for its human rights abuses at IOJK, where women, men, and children have faced guns from pellets, sexual assault, electrocution, and physical and mental torture, "he tweeted.
