No Pakistani players were selected for the ICC International Teams of the Decade awards in any format

Pakistani cricketers and commentators opposed the decision, saying that all players selected for the men's ODI represented the Indian Premier League.

ICC had nominated three Pakistani players, including Misbah-ul Haq, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Hafeez, in the men's ODI category.

Sana Mir and Javeria Khan were selected for the ODI category of women

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced its Teams of the Decade (TOTD) in all three game formats on Sunday. Unfortunately, no cricketers from Pakistan were included on the list, which upset several Pakistani cricketers.

The different gaming XIs announced by the governing body are part of the ICC Awards, a program designed to celebrate the outstanding cricketers and moments of the last ten years.

In reaction to the announcement, former Pakistani cricketer Rashid Latif took to Twitter and wrote sarcastically that the ICC had made a typographical error in the announcement and that he "forgot to [mention] the T20 Indian Premier League (IPL) team. ) during the decade. "

He made the comment as most of the players received the play for the IPL title.

Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar also mocked the ICC and wrote "as expected", in response to Rashid Latif's tweet.

Sports journalist Sawera Pasha expressed her disappointment at the selection of the winners, saying that she is "saddened to see that no Pakistani player was able to reach ICC TOTD in any of the formats.

Objecting to the selection criteria, she wrote that she is "puzzled at how players like Misbah, Afridi and Babar Azam never made any list based on their performance.

Similarly, sports journalist Imran Siddiqui also questioned the eligibility criteria, noting that the exclusion of Babar Azam from the nominations was not justified because the Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah was nominated and selected despite not having played international cricket during five consecutive years in a particular format.

In early December, the ICC had nominated five Pakistani players, including Misbah-ul Haq, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Hafeez, Sana Mir, and Javeria Khan in the men's and women's ODI Team of the Decade (TOTD) category.

However, none of these players were able to reach the final XI of ICC ODI TOTD.

The ICC compiled a total of five TOTDs, including three for men's test matches, one-day internationals, and twenty twenty internationals. Two women's ODI and T20I were also nominated.

According to Geo Super, the voter academy was comprised of global cricket journalists and broadcasters who used "comprehensive statistics and their narratives to cast their votes."

According to the ICC, the voting academy was supposed to determine the selections in the TOTD categories using online surveys, identifying teams in batting order, selecting a balanced team of batsmen, bowlers, and a goalkeeper, while nominating to a captain of their teams for each format.
