Pakistan's coronavirus tally has crossed 440,000 |
With 2,362 new confirmed coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, the total number of cases in Pakistan has reached 440,787.
- Pakistan is ranked 29th on the list of countries with the highest number of Covid-19 cases reported to date.
The second wave of coronavirus in Pakistan has caused a major increase in the number of Covid cases that are reported. Dozens of people die every day due to Covid-related reasons.
As of today, the latest Pakistan Covid-19 statistics provided by the National Command Operations Center (NCOC) are as follows:
- CONFIRMED CASES: 440,787

- DEATHS: 8,832
- (Last 24 hours: 36)
- RECOVERED: 384,719
- (Last 24 hours: 1,719)
- TOTAL TESTS: 6,064,220
- (Last 24 hours: 31,830)
- CRITICAL CASES: 2,456
- ACTIVE CASES: 47,236
With educational institutions closed, restrictions put in place in restaurants and wedding halls, and shortened hours at shopping centers, the government is trying to curb the spread of the viral disease. 'Smart locks' and 'micro-smart locks' are also being implemented at various hotspots in major cities where the virus is rampant.
The only way to overcome this deadly viral infection is for us to follow standard operating procedures set by the government, avoid social gatherings, and always wear masks in public.
