- Mohammad Hafeez clarifies that he does not hold a grudge against the pacemaker Mohammad Amir
- I oppose those who smear Pakistan, says, off-road veteran
- The coaches have supported me at all times, he says, praising the management
LAHORE: Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez endorsed head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowler Waqar Younis on Wednesday, as he clarified that he does not hold a grudge against pacemaker Mohammad Amir.
When addressing an event, the SUV maintained that he was only against Amir's action and not the pacemaker himself. "I am opposed to those who defame Pakistan, and they should not be given the opportunity to re-represent the country internationally."
Hafeez, contrary to Amir's accusations of being discriminated against, said that he has had no problems with the current administration. Also, he stressed that Misbah and Waqar formed the "best" coach because he had seen his entire career.
"The coaches have supported me at all times and have a role in my achievements," Hafeez said, adding that he never felt left out.
Not getting a core contract, he said the question should be posed to the committee that selects the players as he had no answer for that.
