WhatsApp confirmed news reports Thursday that the app's video and voice calling features are now available on the platform's desktop version.
"Sometimes you just need a little more space," WhatsApp tweeted when announcing the new feature.
He added that "end-to-end, secure, and reliable encrypted calls and video calls" will be available in the desktop application.
The app has reportedly been working on implementing calls on WhatsApp Web / Desktop (a connection to the phone is always needed) for the past two years.
