The Deosai Plateaus are considered the second-highest plateaus in the world.
It is situated at an average elevation of 4,114 meters (13,497 feet) above sea level in Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Deosai Plateau is home to the only stable population in the region and is important for its continued survival.
Prime Minister Khan shows great focus on reviving Pakistan's tourism industry, as he repeatedly drew attention to the untapped potential of the industry.
Earlier, while speaking to journalists in Jhelum after the inauguration of a tourism project, the prime minister said that tourism may be the biggest source of employment in Pakistan [if the right work is done to develop the sector].
