WhatsApp releases feature allowing imported animated sticker packs today

 

WhatsApp will launch a feature that will allow users to import animated sticker packs around the world today, WABetaInfo reported Thursday.

"I am pleased to announce that WhatsApp is launching TODAY the ability to import animated sticker packs WORLDWIDE, for ALL iOS and Android users!" WABetaInfo said.

As per ting to the report, the feature will appear on WhatsApp in the next 24 hours.

Earlier this month, WhatsApp launched its 'Sticker Maker' app for users in three countries so they can start creating their own custom animated stickers.

"You can start using the Sticker Maker application to create your own custom animated stickers for WhatsApp on iOS and Android, in Brazil, India, and Indonesia," said the WABetaInfo website.

Applications like Sticker Maker allow users to create stickers for WhatsApp using external applications.

Users just need to download the app to create a sticker pack by selecting a video or GIF from their camera roll. Once added, the app will automatically convert it to a web file that can be imported into WhatsApp.
